Christmas

I haven't had a chance to thank you all for helping with the Christmas program. We really couldn't do this without you all. I am so glad to see you all growing in your Christian walk. We'll see you Sunday!

Halloween Trunk or Treat

Just wanted to say thank you all for helping at the Halloween Trunk or Treat! You guys are awesome and I am thankful for each of you. I will post some pictures later.

Fun in the Maze

What fun we had tonight! Thank you all for coming and being a part of our youth group. We have been praying for our church to grow but who knew ( well, ok, God knew) that He would grow our church through our youth group. You have more of an impact on our church than you know!

Again, thanks for bringing your friends so that they can share our fun and more important, learn about what an awesome God we serve.

Remember, He said He will be back, so be ready:)

Mission Project and Corn Maze

Mission Project and Corn Maze

This coming Wednesday, October 8, we will be meeting at the church at 6, which is 30 minutes earlier than normal, to go to the Power House and do some cleaning in and around the building. Power House is next to the hospital. We will be back at the church at 8.

We will be going to the corn maze on October 10. We will leave the church at 5. We will eat dinner at Dairy Queen and then go on to the maze. We will be back at church around 9. You will need to bring about $20. We are hoping to have enough folks to go to get a discount but I would rather you have enough if you decide to get a snack at the maze. I need to know by next Wednesday, Oct.8, if you are planning to go and if you are bringing a friend so that I have an accurate number that are going ; )

Read your Bible, stay in His will this week and remember.... He said He would be back, so be ready!

Fun Wednesdays

Sarah, we were sure were glad that you wanted to celebrate your b'day with us! We all hope it was a wonderful day!!!! We love you!

I love coming to church on Wednesdays b/c ya'll are so much fun to be with! I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Isn't it wonderful that we can have so much fun at church???

On a more serious note, this play that you are doing will have a strong impact with its message of how people perceive Jesus in their lives. Remember, let Him be the leader in your lives and He will direct your paths.

I pray for each of you each day and look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Until then, remember, He said He'd be back so be ready : )

Mission Trip

WOW!!! That pretty much sums up our trip. You guys were the best. You represented Christ and our church so well!!! Just think how many lives you all touched by helping pass out groceries, working on the yards at both places and cleaning so folks at Little Birch would have a clean place to worship on Sunday. We will be giving our report to the church, a full report, this Sunday so I need you all to wear your shirts and do your best to be there at worship. I will see you guys on Wednesday night for our Bible Study time and we'll discuss more about what we'll say, etc. then. Bring a couple of dollars and we'll go to Dairy Queen: )

items to take

for those of you have "misplaced (wink-wink)" your list of things to bring here it is again:

• You’ll need an air mattress and sleeping bag or blankets.
• SHOWERS are very limited, especially at MMM. You’ll need to take 3-minute showers there. At Little Birch, you can have a 5-minute shower. (i would suggest you start timing yourself now : )
  
• Pack small. It’s only 4 days, and you’ll already have on your clothes for one day.
• Bring a swimsuit if you plan to get in the river.
• River shoes are also a good idea if you have them or old tennis shoes/clogs.
• Bring 2 towels and a washcloth.
• Bring your Bible.
• We’ll provide you a mission trip diary to use at Bible studies and to get autographs, etc.
• Bring a great attitude, a helpful spirit, and a willingness to be flexible!

Hey Youth Group

it's been a long time since i blogged and for that i apologize but here we are! first of all let me tell you how proud i am of each of you in how you have grown in Christ. it is my privilege to be your leader.

i hope each of you have had as much fun flamingo flocking as i have. everybody has said how much they like the birds. this has been such a success that we will continue this to start raising money for next summer. more details about that later.

i am so excited about our mission trip! the t-shirts will be ready on tuesday afternoon so we will change on wednesday morning before we go. if you haven't paid for your shirt please do so ASAP.

some reminders about the trip:

• remember why we're going, to serve God and serve Him well
• we will only be gone 3 days so don't pack like you're never coming home again!
• bring bathing things: washrag, soap, shampoo, towel etc.
• check your list at least twice
